It’s one thing to see someones work online and it’s another to see it in person. AND if you’re luck meeting them in person! Take Annie Chen of Lemonni for example. I’ve followed and admired her work since… oooh, I’m guessing 2017. She’s licenced her designs with FIGO Fabrics and with Otto Studio for wall paper. AND she has also transitioned into painting murals, which I believed started with getting into the Vancouver Mural Festival. Recently she just finished a 200 foot mural in Squamish!
Annie / Lemonni has such a a quiet and peaceful style that I find so refreshing. When I saw on Instagram that she was having a show at The Slice if Life Gallery I was excited to be able to see her work and her in person! Not only did she have her new paintings there, she also had some of her Riso Prints (one of them came home withe me!) and she also had some silkscreen prints as well.
If you find Lemonni’s work inspiring like I do, please do check out her INSTAGRAM and WEBSITE.
